FAQ: Xiaomi M365 vs Segway Ninebot ES2

  • Once someone decides to purchase a scooter, one of the decisions they have to make is deciding which scooter to purchase. So, lets take a look and compare two of the most popular models, the Xiaomi m365 and Segway Ninebot ES2. They each have their strengths and which one you prefer may come down to a personal preference.

    Practical Differences

    Which is heavier?

The Segway Ninebot ES2 is slightly heaver weighing at 28 lbs vs 26.9 lbs for the Xiaomi m365.

    Which is easier to carry?

The Xiaomi is easier to hold in the hand due as the stem being less thick than the Segway Ninebot ES2. However, the Segway Ninebot ES2 folds up nicer and is designed so that you can roll it behind you like similar to a suitcase as in the picture below.

Which is easier to carry on transit?

Air inflated or solid tires, whats the difference?

The Xiaomi m365 has air inflated tires and the Segway Ninebot ES2 has solid tires. Many people like air inflated tires because they provide a softer ride by absorbing some of the bumps. The downsize is the potential for flats. The solid tires on the Segway Ninebot ES2 won't become flat but will provide a harder ride. However, the Segway Ninebot ES2 also has front and rear suspension to provide a softer ride. Many people says this helps but that the air inflated tires of the Xiaomi m365 still provide a more comfortable ride.

Bottom line, if you don't want to deal with flats, then the Segway Ninebot ES2 may be the scooter you want to purchase

I assume you're talking about the Xiaomi m365? The recommended tire pressure is 50psi for both front and back IIRC.
